“When I took my first GMAT practice test and scored a 400, I thought I would never be able to get my score up to an acceptable level for the programs of my choice. After sessions with my MathSP instructor, I was able to bring my score up to 580 the first time I took the GMAT. Last Monday, I took the GMAT a second time and scored a 680. My score increased 280 points! I can’t thank you enough for all of your help! Here’s the funny thing: The math part almost seemed easy! My instructor really took the extra time to make sure I understood the concepts and could apply them to the different parts of the test. The classes were organized and efficient. I always left with a greater understanding of math principles and, on practice problems, I grew more confident with the strategies. Of all of the GMAT study methods I tried, MathSP’s methods were by far the best. I am so appreciative that MathSP was recommended to me. I will happily talk to any student who is interested in MathSP; they really know Math and do an excellent job teaching. Thanks again for helping me reach my goals and my potential!” |

“MathSP’s Ladder Program was basically what got me accepted into the business school of my choice. I had good credentials for my application, but my GMAT score was just average. My verbal score was pretty high, but my quantitative score was extremely low and needed a lot of improvement. The problem was, I had never been very good at math, and thought I never would be. Thankfully, someone on the admissions committee recommended the MathSP program, so I decided to give it a shot and see if I could raise my quantitative score. After the program, I retook the GMAT and scored a 700!! An improvement of 90 points overall, and an increase of 40 percentage points on my quantitative score!MathSP’s program is the most effective I’ve seen. I took another more ‘well-known’ course before I took the GMAT the first time, and it did not even come close to preparing me for the quantitative section of the GMAT the way MathSP did. MathSP’s Facilitative Approach really is the best way to ensure students are familiar with the material, and get them comfortable working through problems together. The most unique thing about this program is that the instructor actually teaches the material you need to know and encourages a deep understanding of material – most other courses are more concerned with teaching you ‘tips & tricks’ that don’t really help you on the test, and certainly won’t help you once you start dealing with quantitative subjects in school. The Ladder Program encourages intensive study, repetition, practice, and confidence – and it works. I never thought I could score a 700 on the GMAT, but I did. And I have MathSP to thank!” |

“Great news!!! I scored a 710 today! I am so happy that I decided to invest my time (and money) on the Ladder Program! Before enrolling, I had already prepared for the GMAT on my own. I learned so much more from my MathSP classes! This course exceeded my expectations; my instructor was very patient and explained everything very clearly. Even if sometimes I would have liked the class to go a little faster, I think that the extra time spent revisiting the basic Math concepts was extremely helpful. The course structure was great; we covered so much in so little time, and the homework, always related to what we saw in class, was a great way to deepen what we covered.I highly recommend this course to all of my friends who need to take the GMAT. I have taken Kaplan classes before (for SAT & LSAT), and I felt that the instructors were unprepared and really did not care if students succeeded or not. Also, those classes were larger, so it was hard to get specific questions answered. MathSP was completely the opposite!” |
“”I definitely recommend MathSP to anyone who cares the least bit about their GMAT score. The course is well-worth the time and money. I originally took the GMAT after self-prep and scored a 620. I am a quantitative person but the GMAT math section shattered my confidence. The MathSP class focuses on fundamentals and teaches you important concepts/tricks to quickly and effectively handle GMAT math. With the small class size, each person receives more than enough attention. It is a very interactive class that reinforces all concepts covered in previous classes. Another aspect that really sets this class apart from others is the instructor. You have the opportunity to pick the mind of a brilliant person who genuinely cares about your success on the GMAT. That alone, I believe is worth enrollment. The Saturday after my last class, I scored a 720. Increased my score by a full 100 points and surpassed my goal of 700. My quantitative percentile increased by 26 points. Very satisfied with the course. I feel the class prepared me to do even better than I did. With more practice, my score could easily have been higher. Great class, don’t miss out!”

“I came to MathSP to help prepare for my GMAT. Needless to say, Math was a foreign subject to me, as I haven’t thought about Math since high school. Even in my prime math studying days, Math was never a strong suite of mine. My instructor has helped me and continues to help me break down the barriers of complication, and make Math simple. What really draws me to Stephanie is her level of GMAT comfort. Any math tutor can teach math. But, can they help prep a student for a life-altering test such as the LSAT, GMAT, etc? I’ve come to the realization that there is Math… and then there is GMAT Math. There are tutors… and then there are professional advisors. MathSP offers professional advisors, and I encourage anyone on the fence of wanting or needing to develop an understanding for math principles to leverage the knowledge that MathSP instructors provide.”
“The MathSP Ladder program course exceeded my expectations. The concentration on the quantitative section of the GMAT was extremely helpful for me. I liked the lessons explaining all of the Math principles; the sessions were divided up appropriately and have tremendously helped me to study the various Math concpets tested. The problem-solving short-cuts were a huge help. Reviewing homework problems and solving them on the white board was also great because it helped me to retain information and learn new methods for solving GMAT Math problems.”
“I took a Kaplan Prep course and was not pleased. All I learned were tips and tricks for the GMAT. I also found the problems used in class and in Kaplan books were not comparable to the problems on the actual GMAT. Needless to say, the tips and tricks did little for my score! MathSP taught me concepts and strategy using realistic GMAT problems from the Official Study Guide book. MathSP methods changed my thought process and how I approach the problems. The extra Math book we received in class was a HUGE help with basic math concepts! My instructor was a wonderful teacher and explained things very well. My score has increased almost 100 points on my practice exams and I haven’t finished all of my preparation!!! I am confident I will have the same results on the day of my exam!”
“My experience with MathSP was wonderful. I did not realize how much work I needed to do to improve my Math Skills to perform better on the exam and overall math skills to perform better in business school. MathSP did a great job in getting me to the next level where I feel VERY confident in tackling any quantitative hurdles I will face in business school. I recommend her all the time to everyone I know looking to get into school…. I got into Kellogg!”
“MathSP is the finest GMAT prep program in the Southeast today and Stephanie Espy is one of the finest teachers anyone could wish to have. She is unmatched in her ability to teach and reach students at all levels. The combination of her calm demeanor and unmatched superior understanding of all facets of the subject matter make her the best possible teacher/tutor. I have taken two (2) math courses from MathSP and she has assisted me in achieving results that previously were unattainable. I would recommend MathSP to anyone who wants to unlock the “code” to education, in general and specifically, in mastering computer-adaptive testing. Stephanie is without a doubt the best teacher/tutor for GMAT, SAT or GRE. She is unmatched by any of her peers. There are a number of false “prophets” who exalt their teaching talents, but they are no match for what you can learn and achieve under Stephanie’s guidance. And, you will not meet a person who is more kind, pleasant and intelligent. She is simply the Best!”
“I had the pleasure of working with Stephanie Espy herself. Stephanie is a very gifted and brilliant mathematician. This is just one of her strong intellectual inclinations. Having studied under her we all noticed that she had a firm grasp of the subject matter and took good command of the class. She was able to relate with all students at their various depths of mathematical knowledge and to explain and simplify concepts. She always had an answer to the questions we asked. It was great studying under her and professionally relating with her as an individual.”
“I have been very pleased working with my tutor. She is very organized, offers multiple approaches and encourages the students to participate. After just three sessions, I have not only improved my score, but I understand why I am answering questions correctly and/or incorrectly. I am remembering math that I have not used in years and, when I struggle with a problem, I can rely on her systematic approach to help me reduce the answer choices.”
“I was intimidated by math my entire academic career. When I made the decision to get an MBA, I knew I’d have to face my math phobia in order to get into a great school. That’s where Math SP fits in. My instructor’s problem-solving strategies and knack for putting math concepts into laymans terms has me well on my way to GMAT success. If only she could have tutored me throughout high school and college!”
“The tutor from MathSP was extremely helpful and fun to work with. He helped me raise my GMAT score over 150 points since I began working with him. With his help, I was able to surpass my goal score by over 50 points. I highly recommend MathSP to anyone who is looking to raise their math test score!”
“I would, and have, recommended MathSP to anyone. The classes are very intimate, which allowed me to be comfortable with asking for help. The course structure was effective, and my instructor was very knowledgeable and patient; she would answer EVERY question – even if it were repeated 100 times. She gave everyone the opportunity to do well and provided easy-to-understand explanations and formulas. Overall, this course was outstanding!”
“I had taken two other GMAT prep courses, and though my verbal score increased, I still struggled to achieve my point increase goal on the quantitative portion of the test. While working with my tutor from MathSP, I was able to get a study plan that was tailored to my specific “problem areas.” Unlike mass produced curricula of other test prep programs, MathSP focuses on the basic skill-sets behind the problem sets. I walked away with a set of tools and a strategy to tackle questions that I formerly had no idea how to approach. I left the tutoring sessions feeling armed and ready to go! I was empowered and focused. As a result my score increased by 110 points!”
“My MathSP small group class was a wonderful experience.I found the instructor’s passion for math contagious. As a result, I was never bored in class. I particularly liked the way we learned from our mistakes. Instead of the instructor simply showing us how to solve the problems, she made us explain our throught process. As a result of this ‘facilitative’ approach, I was confronted with some of the flaws in my thought process, which had gone undetected for many years. I belive the overall effect is that I learned a better way to think about math instead of just how to solve a specific problem.”
“I surpassed my goal and increased my GMAT score by 110 points! My quantitative percentile increased by 21 percentage points. I felt a lot more confident on the GMAT this time around. There were concepts in this course that I overlooked when studying alone. I also feel that the one-on-one time was more efficient than taking a class. Stephanie and I spent more time on topics that I needed more help on and less on those I was already comfortable with. Thank you so much!”
“MathSP improved my GMAT score 120 points! I scored in the 60% in the Quantitative section, up from the 24%. The course was well organized, and breaking the information down by concept was very useful. Also, timing the problems as I worked through them and working the problems out on the board improved my confidence and my speed.”
“The course was very engaging. Specifically, I liked that we worked problems on the board because during that time, it showed if you really understood the concepts. I appreciate Stephanie for re-instilling a sense of confidence of Math within myself.”
Stephanie is absolutely awesome! Thank you for all your help. MathSP is definitely a step above the rest!!! Prior to MathSP, I took the GMAT twice and used Kaplan books to prepare. My score was not good enough. Stephanie’s facilitative teaching style was great, and the structure of the course was outstanding. This course is very practical and emphasizes Math concepts. I sincerely thank my tutor for all her help and for believing in me. I got in!”
“I realized early on while studying for the GRE that I would need help with the mathematics portion. My tutor from MathSP was great! We met once a week for five weeks and he was always so supportive and encouraging, while challenging me at the same time. I took the GRE recently and am so happy with my scores – my tutor from MathSP made all the difference! (Days later) Just wanted to let you know that KSU called me tonight – and extended an offer to start the program in the fall! So excited, although I don’t think it’s really sunk in yet. Thank you again for all your help!”
“I feel very prepared for the GRE after taking this course. Now I actually feel that I have a shot at getting an 800 in the Math section! I liked the organization of the class – its progression built up from session to session and was easy to follow. Furthermore, my instructor’s teaching style was great!”
“The instructor was very helpful with explaining the Math concepts. The set-up and everything about this course was excellent!!”
“If you need to increase your GRE score, this is the course you need. Very informal and relevant!”
“My favorite aspects about the course were: the course structure, interactivity between the students and instructor, and opportunity of ask and address all of my quesitons. The instructor’s facilitative teaching style was great – she did a fantastic job of teaching a concept and requiring students to apply concepts in different ways.”
“There was always something to learn in this course… from the many Math concepts to the time-saving strategies. MathSP’s Quantitative GRE prep helped me score above the 75th percentile! My instructor was very knowledgeable, personable, and professional in her instruction – a wonderful combination and very rare to find in a program that doesn’t break the bank. Thank you so much!”

“In addition to intense skill review and practice, my instructor gave me the confidence I needed going into the test. My score went up 130 points after just a few sessions with her! I have no doubt that with more time with her I would have improved my score by an even greater amount.”
“So I took the test last Saturday and things went great! The thing I noticed that was different about my testing was the fact that I actually KNEW how to do the problems. Going through the steps and strategies with you really helped. Thank you so much for everything! MathSP was a great help and made a significant improvement in my testing abilities overall.”
“I want to thank you so very much for your kind and thoughtful support of Arthur in preparation for the SAT. He speaks highly of you and has felt great support. My husband and I thank you for this kindness and assistance.”
“I would like to thank you for a wonderful experience. My Math score alone increased by 90 points! I really enjoyed the SAT class. I learned so much from you. I found the SAT was fairly easy. I was able to answer each problem without any difficulties. Taking your class really helped me a lot on the test. Thank you again for being an excellent teacher.”
“I raised my score! I am satisfied and very appreciative of your help.”
“After completing the course, I felt more prepared and extremely confident that I was going to do well on the SAT. My instructor was very enthusiastic and made me actually want to do the homework – and believe me, that is an accomplishment. I really appreciated the one-on-one time because not everyone has the same questions. With my tutor’s help, my score improved more than I expected: 170 points!”
“I liked my instructor’s enthusiasm, knowledge, intelligence, and different approaches to the SAT problems. I also liked the strategies and short-cuts that save time. Initially, I did not feel that confident about the SAT, but after this class, I felt comfortable, confident, and prepared. My score increased 250 points!”
“As a senior in high school preparing to take the SAT for a second time, my family and I sought hands-on assistance and found it in MathSP test prep. My Critical Reading SAT score was solid, but my performance on the Math section needed improvement to make my overall score more competitive. My MathSP instructor was a fantastic help to me in a number of ways: he helped me to reinforce and hone my skills in geometry and trigonometry, and algebra, and his methods of teaching gave me the confidence boost I needed to take the test a second time. He was a great representation of the MathSP Bridge Program and the postive impact that it has on the Greater Atlanta community. Upon completion, I raised my Math score by 70 points!”

“Greetings from FSU. Just a quick note to say THANK YOU for the AP Statistics tutoring help! I passed the AP Statistics exam and got college credit for the class. Your help made all the difference. I’m taking Pre-Calc now. If I get stuck can I still send you an email?
Luckily, I’m starting my freshman year with 12 credits before the 1st day of classes start. Thanks so much!”
“My sessions with MathSP helped me better understand math. The one-on-one sessions covered everything and they allowed me to take my time or as much time as I needed to understand the material. For anyone who has a problem with learning and retaining math, these sessions help a lot and will help you better understand math. Before I started my sessions, I was lagging behind and I could never retain what my school math teacher was teaching. I could never keep up with the class. When I started my sessions, in no time I felt more accustomed to math. I stayed with the class, pulled up my failing grade, and even scored high on the Georgia High School Graduation test and End of Course Test. These sessions are very informative and will work for anyone having problems with math!!!”
“MathSP has helped me a lot! I had a hard time with math in middle school. So, I came to MathSP. My instructor teaches me the right way to do any kind of math. He gives me tips on how to do the math. It has really helped me in math class. Now I know just to slow down, look at the problem, and think about the steps. I passed the math part of the CRCT by 15 points – that meant I didn’t have to go to summer school with the 300+ students who did not pass. Now, I am in high school, and I am doing well in math so far!”
