There are various methods to learning. Private Tutoring offers your child personally tailored one-on-one interaction with a MathSP instructor. This high level of interaction allows our instructors to uncover your child’s weaknesses and create a structured curriculum that focuses on an individualized approach to facilitate his/her improvement. Our instructors closely monitor the student’s progress from session to session; throughout the course, students take assessments to evaluate their strengths and weaknesses. Our flexible curriculum allows your child to move at a pace that is comfortable while also meeting his/her goals within the allotted timeframe.
MathSP uses previous test scores and/or diagnostic tests to form small groups of students with similar skill levels. Each student individually benefits from the small size while also learning and interacting with peers. Students work both independently and together to solve problems to ensure individual competence is met. Using the Facilitative Approach, instructors confirm understanding and concept mastery from each student. The small class size allows instructors to move at a comfortable pace for the group. Furthermore, weekly scheduled Extra Help sessions outside of class time allow students additional time to ask questions, review homework problems, and understand their mistakes.
Select middle and high schools offer In-School Classroom Courses. Interactive and engaging, Classroom Courses are always a great way to learn the material in a dynamic environment. These courses include practice tests that simulate real testing environments so that your child is prepared on test day. Test-taking strategies are taught and practiced with feedback from expert MathSP instructors. Using the Facilitative Approach to learning, students learn from their mistakes and those of their classmates.
