Math Readiness Summer Program at Emory University

Don’t fall behind this summer!  Math is a subject that continues to build from concept to concept.  In this 4-week Math Readiness Summer Program held at Emory University, your child will learn important Algebra and Geometry concepts in an interactive environment  from a dynamic MathSP instructor.  This is a great way for students to learn, practice, ask questions, receive personalized attention, and sharpen their math skills over the summer – and apply these concepts to EOCT, GHSGT, PSAT, SAT, and ACT problems!

Session #1:  Algebra
Week 1: Monday-Thursday, June 11-14
Week 2: Monday-Thursday, June 18-21

Exponents, Roots, Solving Equations, Polynomials, Factoring, Relations & Functions, Graphing, Inequalities, Absolute Value

Session #2:  Geometry Plus
Week 1: Monday-Thursday, July 9-12
Week 2: Monday-Thursday, July 16-19
9:00am – 12:30pm

Lines & Angles, Triangles, Circles, Quadrilaterals, Polygons, Coordinate Geometry, Averages, Median, Permutations & Combinations, Probability

April 14th ACT: Small Group Course begins on Saturday, February 18th

MathSP ACT Bridge Program Course Dates:
February 18, 25, March 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, and April 7 
9:00am – 12:30pm
(Note: ACT Pre-test on February 18 will end at 1:00pm)

Optional Extra Help Sessions:
Each Wednesday throughout the course from 4:00pm-6:00pm

Location:
Emory University, Goizueta Business School

Sessions and Fees:
Eight 3.5-hour interactive sessions plus Extra Help Sessions - $849

Features of the ACT Small Group Course include:

  • Prep for all sections of the ACT, including Math, English, Reading, Science, and Writing
  • Small class size (no more than 10 students per course)
  •  28.5 hours of preparation emphasizing MathSP’s Concept-based Learning technique
  • Weekly homework assignments that revisit concepts, reinforce strategies, and evaluate your child’s understanding of course material
  • 60-minute homework review each session utilizing the Facilitative Approach
  • Optional weekly Extra Help Sessions where students can work on their homework with the instructor
  • Pre- test with detailed score report to identify strengths and areas for improvement 
  • Highly interactive student learning
  • Timed practice problem sessions
  • Math Focus and Comprehensive options are available

Saturdays: 9:00am – 12:30pm
